As a HR personnel if you don't look at the latest trends,

Today I have brought to you 5 trends I am betting on for 2023, which you should also look out to:

Use of HR software’s

In Nepal, until 2000, the Human Resources Department itself did not exist as a separate entity. Nevertheless, companies and other organisations in Nepal have gradually adopted the latest HR techniques in recent years.

The use of HR software has become one of the most important trends in large enterprises. For example: Real HR Software developed by Merojob is one of the HRIS software currently used by multiple big companies and some INGOs in Nepal. 

If you have not shifted to a digital workplace, you need to look at what different HR software’s have to offer like keeping track of employees performance, attendance, growth; easy filing and saying when necessary and many more.

Increased Focus on Employee Wellness

Companies are including Employee Well Being as a part of their onboarding strategy. On-site wellness programs, employee assistance programs, yoga classes are some of the many examples of how companies are improving their employee experience.

Running a company considering employees as robots will not work in the 21st century, you need to look after your employees physical and mental well-being if you want a sustainable business.

Remote Work Becoming the Norm

Though Remote Work was a short-lived trend during the pandemic, employees have seen prioritizing hybrid work over full time office bound work.

And many companies, especially IT field companies have developed their own hybrid work policies adopting remote work culture in their companies.

Emphasis on Inclusion and Diversity

Employees seek interpersonal relationships with their fellow comrades so Inclusivity And Diversity will definitely help employees find their office mates, a friend during boring work hours and continue working with the organization even when some other factors may make them want to leave the company.

Greater Emphasis on Employee Development

As companies globally are shifting their focus from customer experience to customer and employee experience. In 2023, we can expect to see more companies offering Training and Development programs to help employees acquire new skills and advance their careers.

If you want to help your employees, support their career and help them grow, provide various learning opportunities to your employees which can be in the form of training, seminars, webinars or as simple as e-books.

In conclusion, the year 2023 is expected to see companies take a more proactive approach to employee wellness, continue to embrace remote work, prioritize diversity, inclusion and use AI in Human Resources, and invest more in Employee development.
